Ministry Information

Central Baptist Church is where you'll find real hope, for real people, in the real world. The ministries here at CBC will point you toward the most life changing relationship there is, one with Jesus Christ. Whether you are a child, a student, married, or single, there is something here for you. Through relevant Bible studies, rewarding relationships, and messages from God's Word, you will soon discover the life that God has planned for you.

Older Adults
Central Baptist Church offers Glory Choir, special dinners, small group interaction, warm fellowship and support. These opportunities are advertised in both the weekly bulletins and the bimonthly newsletter.

Median Adults
We provide a supportive environment where adults are given the opportunity to grow spiritually by following biblical principles. We have experienced teachers, caring Sunday School classes, ministry opportunities, concerts, trips, and applicable messages.

Young Adults
We teach young adults how biblical values apply to our homes, careers and relationships today. We have knowledgeable teachers who provide invigorating Bible studies. We also offer: variety in worship; relevant, practical messages; trips; quality professional childcare; ministry opportunities; and team sports activities. Youth Ministry
FUEL, led by Tyler Hicks, exists to create a fun and exciting environment for students. The FUEL Ministry strives to provide unity through belonging, equipping for Christ followers, and tools for lining a life of purpose. Wednesday nights provide students with an opportunity to worship, learn, and fellowship with others through games, activities, testimonies and give-a-ways.

Children’s Ministry
Led by Chuck Tipton, our children's Ministry offers fun, interactive learning designed to help children make wise choices based upon biblical family values. We offer: caring teachers, an affirming atmosphere, excellent curriculum, Sunday School, missions programs for boys and girls, a Wednesday evening TeamKID program, choirs, special activities, and Vacation Bible School. Some of our regularly scheduled children's events are:

Preschool Ministry
Our preschoolers play with a purpose, and are guided through age appropriate activities designed to increase their awareness of God's presence in their lives. We care for infants and preschoolers and offer: Bible oriented teaching from a trained, loving staff; a secure preschool area; preschool choir; missions education. We provide childcare is provided for all scheduled worship services. Here are some of our activities that take place in the Preschool Suite:

Recreation Ministry
Keep an eye out for opportunities to be a part of Central's Sports Ministry. The opportunities are advertised in both the weekly bulletins and the bimonthly news-letter.

Deacon Ministry
Our deacons uphold the biblical mandate to use their spiritual gifts to serve others through an active program of serving; and it is through their servant hearts that their leadership is so effective. These "Gift-Based Deacon Ministry Teams" are:

Wednesday Night Meal Delivery Team
Homebound Visitation & Service Team
Hospital Visitation Team
Servant Evangelism Team
Crisis Response Team
New Member Team

As you can see the "Gift-Based Deacon Ministry" is different than what you'll find at most Baptist churches. In this plan the deacons work along side others to provide the most effective ministry. We feel this plan offers our deacons and our church the perfect avenue for effective ministry.

Women's Ministry
Various Bible studies are offered for women on Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:00 AM in the FUEL Building. Preschool childcare is provided.

Men's Ministry
CBC Men’s Ministry is affiliated with the nationally acclaimed Men’s Fraternity.  Our multiple, year round studies include The Quest for Authentic Manhood, Winning at Work & Home, The Great Adventure, Raising Modern Day Knights (Father/Son Program), and more.  Our goal and passion is to equip and spur men on in the biblical principles of authentic manhood.

Missions
We believe in sharing the Good News of Christ with all the world. We do this through mission programs, trips, special offerings, children's missions education, missionary interaction, prayer, and our Woman's Missionary Union.
